Stake PSL betting: how league markets differ from internationals

The Pakistan Super League is listed on the sportsbook alongside Tests, one-day internationals and T20 internationals. League fixtures run on a franchise schedule with playoff stages, so the markets around them behave differently from a bilateral series. This page sets out those differences and the rules that decide how a selection settles.

OVERVIEW

Cricket on the Stake sportsbook

The cricket listing covers Tests, ODIs, T20 internationals and leagues including the Pakistan Super League, along with simulated reality cricket. Stake's listing names those competitions but does not explain how simulated reality cricket works, so this page covers the league side and leaves the product detail aside.

PSL MARKETS

What changes in a Pakistan Super League market

A PSL season is a set of franchise fixtures played on a T20 schedule, followed by playoff matches that carry more weight than a group game. Each stage has its own market logic, so read the fixture's details before you assume an international rule applies.

  • Franchise fixtures

Group-stage matches are played between franchise squads on a set schedule. Team selection and playing conditions can shift from one fixture to the next, so a price on one match says little about the next.

  • Playoff matches

Playoff fixtures decide who advances, so a market on the eventual qualifier or the final can behave very differently from a market on a group match. Check whether the market covers the match or the whole stage.

  • T20 league pricing

A T20 league match is short, so one over or a few wickets can move a price quickly. The logic is close to a T20 international, but the league schedule decides which fixtures are open.

  • Internationals compared

Tests, ODIs and T20 internationals are built around national squads and longer series. A league selection depends more on the squad named for that fixture, so check the squad announced for that fixture before you stake.

Stake cricket betting rules: what settles a bet
MARKETS AND RULES

Stake cricket betting rules: what settles a bet

Each market names the event that settles it, and the rules decide what happens when play is interrupted, a match is abandoned or a selection is removed from the card. Read those lines before you confirm, because a good price with an unclear rule can settle differently from what you expected.

  • Match result markets

A match winner market settles on the official result named in its rules. A no result or an abandoned match is handled by the rule attached to that market.

  • Total and over markets

Markets on total runs or overs settle on the figure in the rules, which may count runs up to a set point. Check the cut-off before you stake.

  • Interruptions and voids

Rain, bad light or a shortened match can change a market. The voiding rule decides whether a stake is returned, so read it on the card.

  • Tournament stage rules

Some tournament stages need a decider before a result counts. The rule on that market says which outcome settles it, so check it before the first ball.

SUPPORT

Asking about a cricket settlement

A settlement question needs the market name, the fixture and the time of the selection. Put it in writing to support@stake.com, and use 24/7 live chat, available once you are logged in, for a question you cannot settle by email.

  • Email with the details

Write to support@stake.com with the fixture, the market name and the time you placed the selection.

  • Live chat during a match

Live chat is open 24 hours a day after sign-in. Keep the fixture name at hand before you open the chat window.

  • Read the market rule first

Most settlement questions are answered by the market's own rules, so check those rules before you write.

CHECK

What this page leaves unconfirmed

This page gives no odds figures, no live-streaming details and no predictions. It does not say which fixtures are open on a given day, because the schedule and the sportsbook's own listing decide that.

  • No odds figures

Odds on a live card change, so no example price here should be read as a current one. The arithmetic in this guide is for illustration only.

  • Live betting on cricket not confirmed

Whether Stake live betting covers cricket is not confirmed here, so check which markets are open for a match before you stake.

  • No tips

Nothing on this page is a tip or a selection. A market asks a question about a result, and the decision to stake is yours alone.

TERMS

Cricket betting terms in short

Terms that a cricket card uses, with the meaning each one carries for a bet placed on the sportsbook.

What is a no result?

A no result means play did not produce a result under the market's rules. The settlement then follows the rule written for that market, which may void the bet or settle it another way.

What does a total mean?

A total is a line set on a figure such as runs in an innings or overs in a match. A selection wins or loses depending on whether the final figure is above or below the line.

What is an innings?

An innings is one side's turn to bat. A market on an innings settles only on the figures for that innings, so read the wording before you stake.

What is a DLS adjustment?

The Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method sets a revised target when rain shortens a limited-overs match. Markets that depend on that target follow their own rules.

QUESTIONS

Cricket betting questions

Quick answers on the cricket side of the Stake sportsbook, based on Stake's published terms and the general rules of the sport.

Which PSL markets can I check here?

This page covers league markets in general: franchise fixtures, playoff stages and the T20 pricing logic. Check which markets are open for each match before you stake.

What happens if a match is abandoned?

It depends on the market's rules. Read the rule attached to that market, because an abandoned match can void a bet or settle it differently.

Are there odds figures on this page?

No. Prices change constantly, so this guide uses example figures for arithmetic only and gives no current odds.

Are there cricket tips?

No. The guide explains formats, markets and rules, and makes no prediction about any result.
